Looking for Temporary Work?: let us help you.

Sometimes in life, commitments mean that you may have to look for temporary or part-time work. It may not be feasible to look for permanent work as you don’t know what the future holds for you, and that’s OK. Oakland House Recruitment specialises in helping our candidates to effectively find temporary work in a varied range of market sectors.

Temporary  Work

Temporary work is a great way to get experience on your CV without committing yourself to a permanent position. You will be under no obligation to remain in the job, and you will be free to leave when you wish. In addition to this, you will typically be able to get work more easily, as opposed to permanent positions. This is because employers take on a lot less risk when they hire you as temporary staff. Employers usually take on temporary staff on a 12 week to permanent contract. The 12-week temporary period aims to serve as a probationary period – to ensure that both the candidate and client are happy.

With that said, it’s also important to note that many employers hire temporary staff with the intention of hiring permanent staff. The temporary contract is a chance for the candidates to prove themselves to the employer. They may be looking to see how you perform as part of the organisation, and whether your skill set is appropriate for the job. Once you have worked through the probationary period, the employer may be willing to hire you on a full-time, permanent contract, although this can never be guaranteed.

Our trained recruitment specialists are proficient in helping you to find temporary work. Whether you’re looking for a customer service based role, or a manual labour role, we will be able to effectively match your personal qualities with the qualities of an employer. By creating the perfect match, we can be sure that you will be successful in your new temporary job. We work with you to understand your individual needs and requirements – in the exact same way that we work with our clients. That’s how we’re able to create perfect matches.

We also hold your details on our talent pool system. What this means is, should your temporary contract end, we may be in contact in the very near future with another employment opportunity. Working through multiple positions at multiple organisations is a great way to show that you’re flexible and can easily switch between responsibilities.

If you interested in finding temporary work within Staffordshire and Cheshire, feel free to send us your CV. We will then match your CV with our available vacancies, and contact you to have a personal, one-to-one discussion. Or, if you prefer to speak with us first, call us on 01782 717766.
