Oakland Care opened in 2016, after the continued success of Oakland Recruitment and the demand within the care sector. Combining our recruitment experience and director Sarah’s knowledge and understanding of the care sector, it was a match made in heaven.
Offering both temporary and permeant recruitment solutions in a range of roles across different care settings:
• Care assistants
• Support workers
• Health care support
• Young people’s residential support workers
Since opening, we have seen huge growth and the demand in the sector is huge due to the lack of skills in the sector. Oakland Care provides recruitment solutions to care homes across Staffordshire and Cheshire.
We have a large pool of candidates that are fully trained in care, DBS checked and referenced in line with CQC requirements. Full details of these checks can be found under the candidate section.
We take the time to get to know all our candidates and provide full mandatory training. All training is in-house and we have the facility to offer additional bespoke training if required for CPD.
Many of our clients use our training services as they fully understand the need for quality staffing. They know that all Oakland Care staff are knowledgeable and competent, which is down to our rigorous process that all candidates must go through.
Many of our clients block book training with us to ensure they have the peace of mind that they are getting highly trained and skilled staff.
All our care consultants have worked within the care sector. Unlike other agencies, our consultants know the job inside and out. We don’t recruit staff that don’t understand the role as we feel this is an essential part of us getting it right. We don’t just say we understand – we actually do understand!
Our aims are simple: To work in partnership with all our clients and candidates, to provide an outstanding service that helps to meet all your recruitment objectives.

I like working for Oakland as they work around flexible hours that suit you and they are Lovely people to work with I also enjoy going around new places to work as it expands your experience.
Oakland care are really good at keeping in touch with me as my days change, they try their best to give me shifts around uni days.
Oakland are different to other agencies as they talk to you like a person, other agencies don’t treat you that well. I feel valued working for Oakland.
The training that I received from Oakland was fantastic, Sarah really knew her staff.
The staff in the office really helped me when I first started as I hadn’t worked in care, they trained me and I went on several shadow shifts, after 6 months I then secured a permanent job in care.
Very thorough in the paperwork side, everything was checked which took a while, but I understand why, so they were very compliant and I am very happy working for them.
I’ve had some personal problems and Oakland took the time to reassure me, Nicola and Marie were supportive and eased me back into work.
